James D McLellan, Managing Director
I qualified as a plumbing and Heating Engineer in 1992 and decided to further my education in gas safety and legislation, after working as a domestic service engineer I then advanced to a foreman where I was responsible for 30 staff on larger installations working on a subcontract basis for various companies such as Bovis, Aston Cord and Apollo Services .
I furthered my education and studied for my HNC in mechanical engineering and diploma in HE and Business and joined one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of renewable energy products where I was responsible for the recruiting and management of installation partners and distributors of Renewable products and project management of large scale projects.
In 2004 I decided to take some time out and travel the world looking at all aspects of energy production and consumption which led me to Trek Through South America, South East Asia and the Southern hemisphere before returning to start up Heatsource Consultants.
Susie Robertson , Business Development Manager
Susie joined the company in July 09. She has an extensive knowledge of the Plumbing and Heating industry both commercial and domestic sectors.
Susie previously worked for The English Heritage as a Project Manager for refurbishment of their listed buildings encompassing all aspects of building services and maintenance.
It was whilst working here that she gained knowledge of the Industry whilst also achieving Prince 2 accreditation. She has now made the transition to Business Development Manager for Heatsource and is looking toward growing our business.
At Heatsource, she is responsible for the up keep of ISO 9001.

Brian Baldwin, Commercial Manager
I spent the last 20 years of my career with Vodafone Group PLC, where I held several Senior Director positions including Corporate Sales Director, UK; Marketing Director, Vodafone Group International and Global Accounts Director, Vodafone Group Services.
My background was originally in sales with Companies such as Xerox and Canon, but I graduated into broader commercial roles within Vodafone. I sat on the Board’s of several Vodafone National Companies and was heavily involved in the re-organisation of Vodafone Global resulting from the acquisitions of AirTouch in the USA, and Mannesmann in Germany.
I have considerable experience in Start up situations, and also took leading roles in acquisitions and licence bids across the world. Much of my time from the late ‘90s until my taking early retirement was spent performing internal consultancy on subjects like Best Practice and Delivering Global Synergies and solutions.
Aaron Ridler, Head Engineer
As soon as I left school I started working as a plumbing and heating apprentice, whilst going to college to get the necessary qualifications. I am a fully qualified time served plumbing and heating engineer:
I have attended many manufacturer’s training courses and have been certified in their products, which include high efficiency gas boilers and renewable technologies such as solar.
I truly believe that renewable energy is the way forward and having been at Heatsource Consultants Ltd for three years as a Renewable Energy Engineer, I can honestly say that I genuinely enjoy my work.
Mark Hayes, Senior Supervisor
James and I worked together over 20 years ago when were both employed by Apollo heating services my whole my life has been dedicated to the Plumbing and Heating Industry.
The last six years I have spent working in Spain on large scale Solar energy projects and air conditioning, I also undertook a major project in Mustique for an exclusive client. Upon my return I had heard the good work that James and Heatsource were doing and sat down with James to discuss the potential we both had.
I started to work with Heatsource in July 09 as the supervisor for the company, already we have undertaken some great installations large and small. Im extremely pleased to be working with Heatsource and looking forward to building the installation team we will require for the future, which so far has gone from strength to strength.
Lee Houghton, Finance & Accounts
After graduating in 1998 with honours in Mathematics, I started a career in Accountancy with Pannel Kerr Forster. I continued in Practice for 5 years.
I moved in Industry in 2003, where I have worked for Interval International Ltd and Lastminute.com, working on mainly management accounting and finance project based roles.
I am a qualified member of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and hope to become a qualified ACCA Accountant, pending on finals results next month.
